Our client is a Ground Handling Company based in Beirut, offering air transport services on a charter basis and providing commercial ground handling services for airlines at RHIA, is seeking to hire a Accounting Manager for their Beirut office.

This position reports to the Finance Head. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure reports comply with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the organizations budget.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Assign and review tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.
  • Manage collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation
    explanations.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting systems and procedures.
  • Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, including credit risk and operational risk.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and HR) to support organizational objectives
  • Provide financial insights and support for departmental initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Languages, Computer literacy, etc)

1. Fluent English and writing
2. computer skills, Excel, Word
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Navision...)
