JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive professional accounting services and monitoring the activities of the financial services units to deliver an effective and efficient end-to-end service to the group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the preparation of financial statements for various countries, consolidates and generates management reports, conduct analysis on the Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet, address financial queries, and provide comprehensive financial services assurance to the group, ensuring accurate and accessible information.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits to ensure the provision of accurate and timely information.

Prepare statutory accounts for the group's legal entities, reviews them with auditors, ensure the implementation of accounting standards, and oversee the issuance of statutory accounts within legislative timelines.

Prepare reports covering statistical and functional metrics, ad hoc reports, management reports, and any other financial reports required by management.

Facilitate decision-making by explaining variances between multiple financial periods, LFL, LTM, YTD, and budget variances according to stated schedules, ensuring timely availability of all necessary information for review.

Ensure adherence to cut-off dates, closes general ledger accounts, and make adjustments in accordance with the established period-end calendar. Update the team's knowledge regarding IFRS and IAS, and changes to accounting standards and treatments associated with any change. Adapt to changes in standards promptly.

Validate, review, and assure the accuracy of financial data by identifying, investigating, and rectifying routine errors and anomalies in input data.

LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

 Language Proficiency

Fluency in English.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in MS Office.

Specific Expertise

Financial modeling planning is plus.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance, or a related field.

Master's degree or professional certificate is a plus.

EXPERIENCE

Four to six years of experience in big four audit firms is a must; or similar role.
