The fundraiser is responsible for planning, implementing, and fulfilling fundraising programs and activities while maintaining close liaison with IC Management and external stakeholders. In this role, the fundraiser evaluates and recommends new proposals for fundraising projects, contributes to program growth and development, and supports outreach initiatives. A key aspect of the position is building and nurturing positive relationships—both within the team and with donors—through effective stewardship and donor retention efforts.

Fundraising Programs & Events

  • Organize and execute fundraising events and activities, including local and international dinners.
  • Negotiate and recommend sponsorship and event opportunities.
  • Develop and recommend appeal ideas and incentive programs to encourage donations and recurring commitments.
  • Ensure proper and timely follow-up on established programs.
  • Represent IC with overseas donors and organizations.
  • Travel as needed to support fundraising activities.

Donor Cultivation & Stewardship

  • Identify, research, cultivate, and expand the donor base, including alumni, parents, and friends.
  • Search for new prospects and recommend potential donors to be targeted.
  • Maintain positive personal relationships with donors and external stakeholders.
  • Promote IC's objectives within the community and personal networks.
  • Encourage donors to hold initiatives in support of IC's objectives.
  • Personalize outreach, justify fundraising needs, and recognize donors to strengthen retention and stewardship.

Campaign & Committee Support

  • Coordinate the work of campaign committee members and ambassadors (arranging meetings, preparing reports, follow-up letters, etc.).
  • Assist in forming Class Representative Committees.
  • Work closely with development staff on strategic planning and fundraising strategies to ensure goals are met.

  • Help with the Annual Fund and all alumni-related activities.
  • Assist in all alumni functions and administrative work of the Alumni Office.

Outreach & Communication

  • Prepare presentations and reports when needed.
  • Contribute to building a culture of giving and involvement in the community.
  • Widen the local donor base and strengthen international ties.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support team members whenever possible and maintain a strong spirit of teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Major Gifts & Interim Director Alumni & Advancement​ver


Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
§ Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communication or equivalent degree from a licensed academic institution.
§ Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in similar field.
LICENSE AND OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
  • Good knowledge of Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Excellent Command of Arabic and English. French is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, team player, ability to work under pressure.
  • Think and act creatively, innovatively. Ability to quickly diffuse hostile situations.
