Automotive Technician to work in Lebanon

1. Vehicle Diagnostics & Technical Assessment

  • Perform advanced mechanical diagnostics using scanners, test equipment, and technical manuals.
  • Identify faults in engines, suspension, transmission, steering, cooling systems, braking systems, and drivetrain.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and prepare accurate technical assessment reports for Service Advisors.
  • Recommend the best repair method and estimate labor hours required.

2. Mechanical Repairs & Maintenance

  • Execute complex mechanical repairs including:

  • Engine overhauls & timing systems

  • Suspension & steering repairs
  • Brake system repairs
  • Cooling system repairs
  • Fuel & air intake repairs
  • Clutch & manual transmission repair
  • Perform preventive maintenance services aligned with AMP quality standards.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and internal SOPs.

3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

  • Conduct pre-repair and post-repair test drives to validate repair accuracy.
  • Ensure all mechanical work complies with AMP's safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Verify torque specifications, fluid levels, calibration requirements, and reassembly quality.
  • Prevent comebacks by applying strict quality assurance practices.

4. Technical Leadership & Team Support

  • Guide junior mechanics, helpers, and tire technicians on proper procedures.
  • Provide coaching on best practices, safe working methods, and correct tool usage.
  • Assist the Workshop Supervisor in managing workload and workflow.
  • Support the team in diagnosing complex cases and resolving unclear mechanical issues.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Record all repairs performed in the job card or CRM system.
  • Communicate clearly with the Service Advisor regarding:

  • Additional needed repairs

  • Parts required
  • Job status and completion time
  • Update technical notes to support AMP's internal database and quality audits.

6. Tools, Equipment & Workshop Maintenance

  • Use workshop tools, lifts, machines, and equipment responsibly.
  • Identify damaged or malfunctioning equipment and report immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure proper storage of tools, parts, and consumables.

7. Customer Satisfaction Support

  • Provide professional technical explanations when required by the Service Advisor.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns related to mechanical issues.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and represent AMP's high service-quality philosophy.

8. Continuous Development

  • Stay updated on new automotive technologies, diagnostics, and repair methods.
  • Participate in AMP's internal technical training and skill-upgrade programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop.
Desired Candidate Profile

1. Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 6–10 years of hands-on experience in automotive mechanical repair within a dealership or reputable multi-brand workshop.
  • Strong capability in diagnosing and repairing:

  • Engine systems (petrol & diesel)

  • Suspension & steering
  • Brakes & ABS systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Fuel & air intake systems
  • Clutch & manual transmission
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic tools, scanners, and workshop equipment.
  • Ability to interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins.

2. GCC Experience Preferred

  • Currently working in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, or Oman.
  • Familiar with GCC workshop standards, workflow speed, and modern automotive technologies.

3. Education & Certifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology / Mechanical Engineering.
  • TESDA, ITI, NVQ, or equivalent vocational certifications preferred.
  • Additional manufacturer training (Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Ford, etc.) is a strong advantage.

4. Soft Skills & Work Ethic

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Strong teamwork behavior and willingness to guide junior technicians.
  • Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex cases independently.

5. Quality & Safety Orientation

  • Strong commitment to quality control, safety protocols, and SOP compliance.
  • Zero-tolerance approach to shortcuts, unsafe practices, or low-quality repairs.

6. Physical & Practical Requirements

  • Fit to perform mechanical repairs requiring lifting, bending, and extended periods of physical activity.
  • Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment daily.
