Top Notch Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team. This role involves utilizing advanced statistical methods and modeling techniques to analyze data and provide support to actuaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing reports on findings and identifying liabilities and risks. He/she will also identify trends and methods for designing and pricing non-life insurance policies while verifying data sources and identifying new sources of data. The ideal candidate will assist management and actuaries in the design and implementation of actuarial models and projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the company's policies and procedures.
  • Identify and solve problems and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Identify changes needed in computer programs and reports, share with Manager and maintain an updated database.
  • Compile numerical or statistical data and create mathematical or statistical diagrams or charts.
  • Assist in developing mathematical simulation models.
  • Assist in developing sales illustration tools.
  • Coordinate with Audit and Accounting on implementing legal issues affecting businesses.
  • Utilize a fully developed understanding and facility in the use of database tools for the purpose of development and analysis of experience studies, pricing, reserving and other actuarial calculations.
  • Collaborate with others in the development, implementation and/or maintenance of actuarial related software.
  • Perform monthly batch runs (allocation, reinsurance, charging, interest) and mathematical reserves and statistical runs.
  • Support in segregating premiums and reserves (IFRS4).
  • Carry out reinsurance account bordereaux.
  • Complete actuarial projects as assigned in such areas as product development and related pricing, profitability studies, cash flow testing/asset liability management/reserve analysis.
  • Maintain standard documentation on assigned projects/tasks.
  • Attend seminars as per approved budget.
  • Comply to Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other relevant quantitative field or equivalent experience.
  • Masters degree in actuarial science & CII are a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years experience as an actuarial & business analyst.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of non-life products, pricing, valuation, financial reporting, and industry trends.
