Job Summary The MEAL Solutions Lead, Sales & Subject Matter Expert is a hybrid commercial and domain role at the intersection of Sales and Product. The role holder will own the MEAL solutions sales pipeline across NGOs, INGOs, donors, government implementers, and research institutions, while translating real-world MEAL practice into credible client solutions and clear product requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the full sales cycle for MEAL solutions, including prospecting, qualification, discovery, product demonstrations, proposals, RFP and tender responses, negotiation, and close.
- Conduct credible discussions with MEAL Managers, Coordinators, Country Directors, programme teams, and donor focal points, tailoring solutions to programmes, donor requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Build sector relationships across humanitarian and development networks, clusters, and donor procurement channels; lead customer onboarding and product training for MEAL teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and report on pipeline, conversion, revenue, and performance against quarterly targets.
- Serve as the in-house MEAL authority for Business Analysts and Developers across proposals, programmes, logframes, indicators, monitoring visits, case management, activities and financials, and reporting.
- Lead and support requirements workshops, validate user stories, and translate operational MEAL needs into clear product requirements.
- Define and validate indicators, including codes, baselines, targets, actuals, calculation logic, disaggregation, data sources, reporting frequency, and alignment with outputs, outcomes, donors, sectors, SDGs, and programmes.
- Review wireframes, prototypes, and product designs, participate in UAT and beta releases, and identify domain risks before development.
- Develop reusable MEAL assets, including indicator libraries, sector templates, donor-report templates, logframes, Theory of Change, results frameworks, monitoring plans, and data-quality standards.
- Represent the organization through relevant events and contribute to sector-focused case studies, webinars, and thought-leadership content. Required Qualifications, Experience, smd Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a MEAL role within an NGO, INGO, donor, UN agency, government programme, or development consultancy.
- Hands-on experience with logical frameworks, Theory of Change, results frameworks, indicator reference sheets, monitoring plans, and indicator management, including targets, baselines, actuals, calculations, and disaggregation.
- Familiarity with donor planning, measurement, and reporting standards, including USAID, EU/ECHO, UN agencies, World Bank, FCDO, GIZ, GAVI, and regional or Gulf donors.
- Working knowledge of KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare, ActivityInfo, DevResults, or comparable MEAL platforms.
- Experience in humanitarian or development case management, including protection, GBV, child protection, livelihoods, health, education, or social services, is preferred.
- Experience supporting product, business analysis, or solution teams as a domain consultant, product owner, or solution architect is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to translate technical product capabilities into practical sector language.
- B2B SaaS sales, Arabic language proficiency, MENA experience, BI tools, XLSForm, APIs, ETL concepts, IATI, HXL, and MEAL-related professional certifications are advantageous.
