The head of maintenance unit is responsible of the safe operation and maintenance of the electric distribution network by attending and fixing network faults, and by following the safety procedures and regulations.
He/she shall ensure proper coordination & communication among the field crews and the operators.
Manage a group of electricians to perform network operation and maintenance activities according to the followings:
Ø Perform all aspects of maintenance of electrical power distribution systems
Ø Prepare and organize monthly time shifts and schedules
Ø Receive network outage complaints from the call center through the enterprise workflow management systems
Ø Identify incidents in terms of location, network type and voltage level
Ø Estimate required materials and fill out specific forms developed by the client (A4) to ensure prior acceptance on the replacement activities
Ø Issue work orders and assign a maintenance team to attend and repair the fault
Ø Dispatch the team and monitor the tasks
Ø Ensure safety rules and procedures are implemented
Ø Coordinate with the operators at the primary stations to perform network operation activities as and when is required for the maneuvering procedure
Ø Ensure proper closing of the incidents using the computerized work flow management system. The closing shall include accurate reporting of the incident status, used materials, man-hours, GIS update drawings, etc.
Ø Keep track of all drawn and returned materials from and to the client stores by saving copies for each correspondent ticket
Ø Analyze faults and perform failure cause reports and studies
Ø Ensure availability of materials and tools, and report shortages
Ø Maintain and use of MV feeders and substations load readings to perform network maneuvering and switching operations. The task involves maintaining Network Single Line Diagrams and GIS drawings
Ø Supervise and approve the testing and troubleshooting of the replaced and the newly installed electrical network lines and components
Ø Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules whenever there is no network fault (trimming of trees, fixing earthing systems, checking transformer oils and temperatures, etc.)
Ø Perform daily maintenance progress and statistical reports, including supplied and installed materials
Requirements
TS or LT in electrical engineering.
Ability to lead a team.
Ability to work under pressure.
