Customer Service Representative - (Lebanon High School Internship)

Location: Lebanon, TN

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Customer Service Representative Intern participates in bank office activities including receiving deposits, processing checks, dispersing funds and verifying the accuracy of transactions.  This position utilizes on-the-job training to gain experience with various bank office positions and develop an understanding of operational processes and workflows. The Customer Service Representative Intern reports to the Office Manager and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company's values and supporting the mission.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   
  • Participate in bank office activities to include providing service and support to customers, receiving deposits, processing checks, dispersing funds and verifying the accuracy of transactions
  • Utilize on-the-job training to gain experience with the duties required of various bank office positions and develop an understanding of operational processes and workflows
  • Guard against loss by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds. Identify fraudulent activity.
  • Enter transactions in bank's recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts
  • Perform teller capture duties
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to refer new banking products and services to the appropriate business partner
  • Balance cash drawer at end of shift
  • Maintain a work area that protects all negotiables and confidential records
  • Maintain knowledge of new and existing products and services
  • Attend training as requested
  • Participate in outside community activities as required
  • Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently enrolled in Lebanon High School Banking Program and/or Future Business Leaders of America
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to serve customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and internal teammates
  • Basic organization and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain working knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and systems
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
