Job summary
Nashville area - We are seeking a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our team as a Field Marketing Representative. The ideal candidate will be a persuasive communicator with a strong work ethic, responsible for engaging with residents, sharing information about our organization's mission, and generating support. This role requires working independently outdoors to meet specific daily and weekly outreach goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door outreach: Systematically visit homes within an assigned geographic territory to speak with residents about the organization's cause, product, or service.
- Deliver a persuasive message: Use a provided script and talking points to clearly and convincingly communicate information, answer questions, and respond to potential objections.
- Generate leads and gather data: book appointments for clients onsite and/or send appointments to the call center to book.
- Meet performance goals: Consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly quotas for contacts, sign-ups, or canvassing.
- Track and report activity: Accurately record all interactions and data using a digital app or paper forms and submit reports to a team manager.
- Attend training and meetings: Participate in regular team briefings to receive updates, review performance, and refine outreach strategy.
- Follow guidelines: Adhere to all organizational guidelines, safety protocols, and regulations regarding canvassing.
Requirements and qualifications
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with a diverse range of people.
- Personal attributes: Must be resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable with frequent rejection. A positive and energetic attitude is critical.
- Physical stamina: The ability to walk and stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
- Licensing: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary.
- Technical skills: Proficiency with mobile devices and data collection apps is a plus.
Work environment
- Hourly pay and bonus per appointment booked offered.
- This is an in-person, field-based position with extensive time spent walking outdoors in various neighborhoods and weather conditions.
- The schedule is typically flexible, and canvassers may work independently or in a team.
- Evening and weekend availability may be required to maximize contact with residents.
