Job Description
MAV Personnel is currently looking for an Project Scheduler to assist our client with a year-long project. This position will be based in the Lebanon, IN area. The ideal candidate will be strong in both schedule and planning for industrial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning exercises, prepare and maintain cost and schedule.
- Provide reports to project and corporate management on project cost and schedule status.
- Provide overall project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise
- Generate basis of cost and schedule, perform cost and schedule analysis and cost and schedule risk assessment.
- Set up, implement, and maintain project cost and schedule related key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provide forecasts for schedules, costs and resources (internal and external) through trend analysis and historical trend research
- Provide project managers with corrective actions regarding cost and schedule variances and impacts on project delays and opportunities
- Assist project teams in resolution of issues involving cost, schedule, & contract changes.
- Conduct cost and schedule review meetings and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to project plans and communicate any deviations of current plan to the project team.
- Review cost and schedules prepared by subcontractors to ensure appropriate level of details and structure are applied for effective progress monitoring and project control.
- Provide necessary coaching to planners to ensure the development of job plans that can be transposed into a workable cost and schedule that accurately links required tasks and specific resources that are necessary to complete an identified work scope.
- Minimum 10 years experience in Project Scheduling
- Understand basic workflows for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and Microsoft Outlook
- Proficient with Primavera P6 scheduling software, including multi-file group project
- Project Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and progress reporting in support of department standards, proposals, and projects
- Coordinate client, engineering, and operations interfaces to ensure smooth and timely flow of information
- Provide project management with information pertinent to the control of the project
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the project time schedule
- Challenge the duration and sequence-of-development / constructability
