Transportation Operations Manager

Qualified applicant must hold a minimum of high school or general equivalency degree (GED) and at least five (5) years of comparable work experience.
Other requirements include:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Excellent organizational and time management skills;
* Computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products;
* Valid, Tennessee CDL with Class B endorsement;
* Strong committment to safety;
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with others in a team setting;
* Ability to train, coach, and provide leadership; and
* Ability to teach/demonstrate skills in driving and operating a school bus.
The successful candidate will assist the Transportation Supervisor with the day to day operations of the Transportation Department, acting as a representative of the department when working with drivers, attendants, school administrators, parents, and students (student discipline). This is a full-time, 260-day assignment. Salary will be determined by documented, comparable work experience and placement on Grade 8 of the Salaried Classified Salary Schedule.
