Job Description

Looking for a Senior Procurement Officer, for a permanent job in a company located in Ghazir.

His/her responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's construction projects, goals, and budgetary constraints.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Source and select materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project needs and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis to ensure the procurement process remains cost-effective while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and invitations to bid (ITBs). Evaluate bids and proposals received, considering factors such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, documentation, and reports. Ensure transparency and accountability throughout the procurement process.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new procurement techniques to enhance the company's procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and relevant laws related to procurement and construction.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and project requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
