Junior Systems Administrator - Digital Transformation Department

Beirut,

Job Summary:


The  specialist - Infrastructure support  is responsible for delivering timely and effective technical assistance to end-users while ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the organisation's IT systems. This role supports the IT Department by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT assets, performing routine system administration tasks, and maintaining proper documentation in alignment with organisational policies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. End-User Support

· Act as
the primary point of contact for IT-related issues.

· Provide
timely troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems.

· Assist
users with system access, application usage, and IT best practices.

2. Hardware & Software Management

· Install,
configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other
peripherals.

· Deploy and
update operating systems and business applications.

· Perform
routine maintenance and apply patches to ensure system stability.

3. System Administration

· Support
basic server administration tasks (Windows/Linux).

·
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in
Active Directory or equivalent systems.

· Assist in
monitoring system performance

4. Network & Security

· Monitor
network connectivity and escalate issues as needed.

· Implement
and enforce security measures (antivirus, endpoint protection, access
policies).

· Assist in
firewall and VPN configuration under supervision.

5. Backup & Data Management

·
Ensure regular data backups and verify restore procedures.

· Maintain
documentation for backup schedules and disaster recovery steps.

6. Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain
accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and incidents.

· Document
troubleshooting steps and resolutions for knowledge base.

7. Testing & Evaluation

· Test new
hardware/software solutions for compatibility.

· Provide
feedback on potential improvements to IT infrastructure.

8. Training & Awareness

· Conduct
basic training sessions for employees on IT tools and security best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum two  to three  years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking principles.
  • Familiarity with system administration (Windows/Linux), Active Directory, and endpoint security tools.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow IT security guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
