Our client, a construction firm based in Lebanon and KSA, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Civil Engineer in Beirut, Lebanon to join their team in the estimation department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional with 0 to 5 years of experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of civil engineering within the construction sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to senior civil engineers and project managers in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects.
  • Assist in the development of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and site development.
  • Assist in performing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to coordinate project activities and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including reports, drawings, and project records, to track project progress, changes, and approvals.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure that construction projects meet industry standards, specifications, and client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements, concerns, and feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering through ongoing learning and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably within the construction industry. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS, is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work and delivering projects on time and within budget.
