Overview
The West Arabia Acceptance team is looking for a Manager Acceptance – Iraq and Lebanon to drive our customer experience and business development strategy forward by consistently building relationships and providing innovative solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Role
- Developing innovative payment acceptance, and merchant solutions business models, leveraging Mastercard products and solutions, through partnerships with Acquirers, FinTechs and Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
- Define and drive the strategy for Mastercard's acceptance business, aligning with broader Acceptance priorities and corporate objectives resulting in increased efficiency and sustained revenue growth.
- Conduct deep market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and financial modelling to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Finance, Legal, Division and Regional teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Work on projects to explore partnerships, investments and acquisition opportunities as ways to expand our strategies and accelerate progress.
- Leverage analytical methods for complete analyses of products and markets with consideration of value-propositions, partner opportunities, competitive landscapes/positions, risk profiling, financial opportunities, and strategic trade-offs.
- Identify emerging trends in acceptance technology, fraud solutions, and value-added services to inform product strategy and roadmap development.
- Play a key role in setting up local presence and increase dominant MA share within Iraq
- Identify Cash pools and penetrate new market segments for an increase in MA acceptance across Lebanon and Iraq.
- Increasing digital payments and cash displacement across the Cluster and tailoring payment solutions to the unique needs of both markets
- Developing and implementing strategies as well as supporting the planning, coordination, and management of a diverse range of programs and projects.

All About You
- Have experience in executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies in partner-focused or product-centric roles.
- Direct selling or customer-facing experience, identifying client needs and building acceptance proposals
- Ability to identify new business development opportunities and experience drafting proposals and scoping new opportunities
- Build strong relationships and influence collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
- Use data-driven storytelling to turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Be a self-starter who can prioritize effectively and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, matrixed and global environment.
- Connect the dots across diverse stakeholders, regions, and business goals to drive alignment and impact.
- Simplify complex product concepts and communicate clearly to support partner education and solution adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for executive audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

• 7 years of experience with exposure to business development, customer relationship management, strategic planning within fintech, payments, or technology sectors.

• Strong financial modelling and business case development skills.
