Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in administrative and compliance tasks. This role is an excellent opportunity to build a solid foundation in accounting while working closely with an experienced finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and post accounting entries, including sales, expenses, journal entries, payments, receipts, and other transactions.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems (both electronic and hard copy) for accounting, compliance, and legal documents.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, creditors, debtors, and general ledger balances.
  • Prepare and review employee expense reports and travel reimbursements.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and reporting.
  • Handle client invoicing and follow up on collections.
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for office supplies.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support the Finance Team with ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 1–2 years of accounting.
  • Familiarity with accounting softwares and MS Office (Excel proficiency required).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills: English is required, French is a plus
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
