Junior Accountant - Group Finance Department

Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data through timely reconciliation, reporting, and documentation. This role supports the Head of Finance by preparing daily bank status reports, managing accounting records, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies and legal requirements.
Responsibilities:- Reconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering, verifying, and balancing financial information.
- Prepare the daily bank status report (DBS) and submit it to the Head of Finance.
- Post adjusting journal entries to correct accounting errors as needed.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of financial information through proper database backup and document handling.
- Ensure compliance with organizational accounting policies and all relevant federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Prepare bank transfer instructions for review and approval by the Head of Finance.
- File and maintain accounting documents, including payment vouchers (PV) and receipt vouchers (RV).
- Record and monitor all financial transactions such as charges, payment receipts, collections, and expenses.
- Support the Finance Department in achieving its overall goals and objectives by performing related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum One to Two years of accounting or finance experience .
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
