Position Summary: The Warehouse Team Leader will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.
Essential Functions:
Assist with training of team members.
Oversee the daily workflow; oversees scheduling and assignments of the assigned team.
Ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
Lead the team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks.
Inspect the quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.
Verify that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implement viable ideas.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in our climate-controlled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration, equipment noise and cleaning solvents leading to a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and might also be exposed to outside conditions, tight spaces, cleaning solvents and heights.
Physical Demands: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
Continuous (6 or more hours per day) bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting, and grasping.
Continuous (6 or more hours per day) talking, listening, teaching, and repetitive motion, hand/wrist movement.
Continuous (6 or more hours per day) standing and walking.
Frequent (1 to 3 hours per day) work in a stooped position.
Good eyesight, normal hearing.
Ability to move and lift objects, frequently 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days, nights and hours may vary depending on the assigned shift and productions requirements. This position may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle or customer volume of business.
Travel: Should not be required.
Required Education and Experience:
Ability to maintain, understand and follow quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
Strong comprehension, verbal and written communication skills, specifically in the English language.
Ability to motivate a team to accomplish objectives.
Ability to remain organized.
Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.
Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
Knowledge of equipment operation and/or maintenance.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with equipment operation.
Capable of multi-tasking the operation of production.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
At least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Licenses and Certifications: Forklift, reach, etc. preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
