Job DescriptionThis position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years of experience in the field. Accounting candidates must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Rely on experience and knowledge to implement a variety of tasks, while being able to work under pressure. A certain degree of creativity is required.
Responsibilities
-Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions on the accounting software
-Ensure proper data filing, for digital and hard-copy documents
-Maintain and process cash box transactions, and maintain an updated cash box on accounting software.
-Ensure weekly and monthly cash counts
-Summarize current financial status by collecting information concerning payables, cash tracking sheets, and other requested reports.
-Ensure monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet and P&L accounts.
-Recommend action points by analyzing accounting and transactional patterns
-Maintain and control inventory and process new shipments, with the support of operations, procurement, and finance team.
-Process payables on a daily basis and ensure proper collection of supporting documents for accounting transactions
-Provide technical support for venues and operations team
-Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems using accepted accounting standards
-Provide input into the department's goal-setting process
-Support month-end and year-end close process
-Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
-Contribute to a strong client/supplier relationship through positive, constructive, and consistent interactions.
-Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in the accounting/finance field of study or equivalent and relevant to work experience
-3-5 years experience in the accounting field
-Understanding of basic accounting procedures and principles
-Experience with accounting software, experience in ERP software is a plus.
-Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing processes
-Good command of accounting software, Microsoft office (especially Excel), and other administration tools
-Accuracy and attention to detail
-Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
-Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards
-Awareness of business trends
-Creative problem-solving skills
-Ability to work under pressure
-Experience using Zoho Books is a plus
-Fluency in English is a must
