As a UI/UX Designer at Shelvz, you will play a key role in defining the user experience across our platform, ensuring smooth interactions and boosting user satisfaction.

Shelvz specializes in developing an advanced platform tailored for the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, offering a holistic solution for businesses to efficiently gather, consolidate, and analyze data from various sources.

Our ambition is to become the leading partner for CPG businesses, helping them unlock the full potential of their data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing the overall look and feel of the product, including color schemes, typography, and imagery, to create a visually pleasing interface.
  • Creating wireframes and mockups to outline the structure and layout of the user interface, ensuring intuitive navigation and user flow.
  • Developing interactive prototypes to simulate user interactions and test the usability of the design.
  • Ensuring consistency in design elements and patterns across the product to maintain a cohesive user experience.
  • Conducting user research, such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Organizing and structuring the content and features of the product to facilitate easy navigation and information retrieval.
  • Creating user personas to represent different user groups and mapping out user journeys to identify key touchpoints and interactions.
  • Conducting usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of the design and gather feedback for improvements.
  • Incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders to iteratively refine and improve the design.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and customer service to ensure requirements are delivered with high-quality standards.
  • Creating design documentation, style guides, and specifications to guide development and ensure design consistency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio of design projects.
  • Deep understanding of UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and In Vision.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to gather and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details, and the ability to maintain high design standards under pressure.
  • Experience conducting usability tests and comfort in using analytics software to analyze user behavior.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (iOS and Android).

  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus.
