Visual UI Designer at Canonical: Create intuitive products that change the face of enterprise IT, with a focus on branding, user experience, and technology.

Canonical, a pioneering tech firm, is seeking an exceptional Visual UI Designer to join its multi-disciplinary design team. As a Visual UI Designer at Canonical, you will play a vital role in creating world-renowned software that impacts the lives of millions of engineers, enterprises, entrepreneurs, and consumers every day.

Our design team works closely with engineers to bring exciting projects to life, and we help and learn from each other to improve our work and processes. As a Visual UI Designer, you will deliver exceptionally crafted and creative work in response to the business design needs, with a focus on branding, user experience, and technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop visual identities, brand experiences, and user interfaces for Canonical's products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing, to ensure design solutions meet business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design research and innovation, and apply this knowledge to drive design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency across products and services.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional design talent with experience in branding, user experience, and technology.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and user experience.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, or Penpot.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
