OBJECTIVE

Bid Manager has to work as a team member within the dedicated Bid Team producing high quality proposals in support of increasing revenue, market share and client base. He assures that bid process complies with Thales Group procedures and policies. He is responsible to manage end-to-end bid process and to deliver a complete bid and in time, coordinating bid related activities within the team assigned to the bid and inter-departmental departmental interfaces involving engineering, procurement, delivery, legal and finance.

Key Tasks:Support the Capture Lead / Project Manager in providing Services technical and commercial proposals and improve sales success rates in Middle East and AfricaResponsible for in-time delivery of winning proposals in Middle East and Africa RegionsLead the bid team, providing bid management direction and engagement within the teamManage and take active part in the creation of the bid deliverables and ensuring review and governance, leading to a high-quality proposalEnsure that cost estimates / target budgets are provided with support of system engineering and product managementCoordinate with all non-technical stakeholders of the bid team, such as contract management, legal, tax, insurance, export control and financeEnsure that cost estimates are effectively reviewed to ensure competitive and winning pricingSupport Sales / Capture Leader in negotiations and presentationsEnsure a smooth transition from bids to projectsEnsure customer satisfaction and maintaining Thales processes

Work Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in bid management or similar project management activitiesExperience in the use of planning tools (MS Projects) as well as typical office tools such as MS OfficeExperience on site deployment on a Project (Installation, Test & Commissioning, Construction ...) is considered as a plusExperience with developing compliant and commercially sound offers at operation and maintenance stage is considered as a plusExperience of working across boundaries, including knowledge of commercial management, finance functions and Engineering process.Comprehensive understanding of generic processes and techniques used to schedule bid management activities.Exposure to producing offers in a highly regulated industry.Working experience within multidisciplinary, multinational teams including functions of PMO, Estimating, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HSE & Quality and commercial management.

Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements

Engineering and / or Technical management diploma.Fluent English a must, knowledge of Arabic, French is a definite plusProficiency with computer applications MS Office & MS Project
