Seeking a Modern Workplace Engineer to lead Office 365 migration projects and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
About the Role:
The Modern Workplace Engineer will be responsible for leading end-to-end planning and execution of Office 365 migration projects, including assessment, design, pilot testing, data migration, and post-migration support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify migration goals.
- Assess the existing infrastructure, applications, and data to determine compatibility and dependencies for migration to Office 365.
- Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans, considering factors such as data security, user experience, and minimizing disruption to end-users.
- Configure and deploy Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other related applications.
- Coordinate with IT teams, third-party vendors, and stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure a successful migration to Office 365.
- Conduct data analysis, transformation, and cleansing to ensure data integrity and accuracy during the migration process.
- Provide guidance and support to end-users during the migration, including training, documentation, and addressing their questions and concerns.
- Implement security and compliance measures in Office 365, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest Microsoft Office 365 features, updates, and emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for adoption and improvement.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, are preferred.
- Proven experience as a Modern Workspace Engineer specializing in Office 365 migrations, with a strong track record of successful migration projects.
- Strong understanding of Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and related applications.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Office 365 administration, automation, and migration tasks.
- Familiarity with migration tools and utilities, such as Microsoft's SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), third-party migration solutions, and hybrid deployment scenarios.
- Solid understanding of modern collaboration technologies, such as Microsoft Teams, and their integration with Office 365.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and performance bottlenecks during migrations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within established deadlines.
