Junior Data Analyst The role: We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our busy, high-volume Money Market Dealing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate or early-career professional with a strong aptitude for numbers, statistics, data analysis, and problem-solving. The successful candidate will work closely with traders and the wider trading team, supporting the analysis, monitoring, reporting, and interpretation of large volumes of financial and trading data. Responsibilities:
- Analyze large volumes of trading, financial, and operational data.
- Prepare, maintain, and improve Excel-based reports, analysis, and dashboards.
- Monitor trading activity and identify trends, anomalies, discrepancies, and unusual patterns.
- Perform statistical and quantitative analysis to support trading and management decisions.
- Produce daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports for the Trading Department and management.
- Validate data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Reconcile and investigate differences between datasets and trading records.
- Develop and improve spreadsheets, formulas, models, and analytical tools.
- Support traders and management with data-driven insights and analysis.
- Help automate repetitive reporting and data-analysis processes where possible.
- Work with multiple data sources and maintain accurate and reliable datasets.
- Assist with performance analysis and other quantitative projects within the trading environment.
- Respond quickly and accurately to ad-hoc analytical requests in a high-volume environment. Qualifications and

Experience:
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Preference to Graduates of English-speaking institutions, or courses taught in English.
- A Business, Finance or Accounting background is preferred but not essential.

Skills:
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel is essential, including advanced formulas, data manipulation, lookups, PivotTables, and data analysis.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of statistics and quantitative concepts.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying patterns or discrepancies.
- Familiarity with one or more of the analytical or data tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to learn new systems, software, and analytical tools quickly. Competencies:
