Job Objective
Your role as a Credit Officer is to perform credit administration, monitoring, and control activities by reviewing credit applications, supporting creditworthiness assessments, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of credit documentation and system information, monitoring delinquent accounts, and supporting regulatory reporting requirements.
Main Tasks
- Review credit applications and support the assessment of customers' creditworthiness.
- Conduct credit checks and review relevant financial information.
- Ensure that approved loan terms, interest rates, fees, and commissions are correctly reflected in the system.
- Monitor credit files and ensure that all required documentation, signatures, and borrower information are complete and properly maintained.
- Perform daily CDR inquiries and support the preparation of the monthly CDR declaration to BDL.
- Prepare and ensure the timely submission of required regulatory reports.
- Monitor delinquent accounts and coordinate the required follow-up actions with the relevant teams.
- Follow up on special approvals related to rate, fee, commission amendments, and loan rescheduling.
- Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, IT, Customer Service, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth credit operations and effective workflow.
- Identify documentation, system, or credit administration discrepancies and coordinate their timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate credit records, trackers, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Follow applicable credit policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Document tasks and projects as needed to ensure business continuity. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Lebanese Financial Regulations, Banking Ethics, or related certifications are a plus.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in credit, lending, credit administration, banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Professional proficiency in Local Language and English is required.
- Good knowledge of credit and lending operations.
- Good understanding of creditworthiness assessment and credit checks.
- Knowledge of credit documentation and loan administration.
- Familiarity with CDR and relevant BDL reporting requirements.
- Good understanding of interest rates, fees, commissions, and loan terms.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good reporting and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and follow-up capabilities.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and customer information.
