Senior Software Engineer (Contract) Oversight | Full-time contractor | Remote with GCC hours overlap About Oversight Oversight is agentic AI for internal audit and GRC. Audit teams describe the workflow they need, from risk assessment through fieldwork, testing, and reporting, and the platform builds it. No code, no engineering tickets, no six-month vendor implementation. Think TeamMate, Archer, or AuditBoard, except the audit team composes its own modules instead of waiting on a vendor roadmap. We are live with regulated clients in Saudi Arabia and building for sovereign deployment in-Kingdom. What we actually need You have shipped real products inside real engineering teams. You have built with agentic AI, not just called an API once. You can run a workstream end to end and communicate clearly without being managed. Requirements
- Production experience on a large engineering team, meaning shipped, maintained, and on-call, not prototypes
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI products: tool calling, orchestration, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails
- Minimum 2 years of professional engineering experience if that experience is in the GCC or the United States. 4+ years otherwise
- Strong written and verbal English. You will write specs, not just code
- Project management capability: scope your own work, sequence it, flag blockers early, hit dates Preferred
- Worked on internal audit, GRC, risk, or regtech software (TeamMate, Archer, AuditBoard, Workiva, Diligent, Vanta, Anecdotes, or similar)
- Familiarity with audit and control concepts: control testing, workpapers, evidence, findings, sampling, IIA standards
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (SAMA, NCA, ISO, SOC 2, or equivalent)
- Experience with data residency or sovereign hosting requirements Engagement Contractor. Rate based on experience. IP assignment and confidentiality agreement required before start.
