ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT: The Technology (TEC) Unit at WFP Lebanon Country Office is responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, digital systems, and data management solutions that enable programme delivery and operational continuity across the Country Office and Field Offices. The unit oversees network connectivity, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance, end-user support services, telecommunications systems, asset lifecycle management, and emergency ICT preparedness in alignment with WFP corporate TEC standards. In addition to infrastructure and operations, the unit supports digital transformation initiatives, data management platforms, automation solutions, and Digital Assistance Services systems. JOB PURPOSE: Under the overall supervision of the Head of TEC, the incumbent will provide administrative, technical, and operational support to TEC activities and digitization initiatives implemented in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will assist in the preparation, configuration, testing, deployment, and monitoring of digital tools, end-user devices, and related technology solutions. The role will support ICT operations by helping to conduct technical assessments, follow up on service requests and project activities, maintain records and documentation, and assist in routine system, connectivity, and device checks. The incumbent will provide first-level user support, support field missions as required, contribute to the preparation of technical guidance and progress updates, and assist in ensuring the effective delivery of ICT services that support business operations, social protection activities, and digital transformation initiatives across the Country Office and Field Offices. DURATION: 6 Months, (Renewable based on availability of funds, business needs and performance)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive): Within delegated authority and under the direct supervision of the IT Operations Associate, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: Carry-out system and equipment maintenance tasks, such as back-up system data and system protection, to ensure they are running effectively and enable easy and efficient use. Undertake basic monitoring and troubleshooting of server systems to ensure a consistent delivery of IT services to staff. Respond to basic queries about technology and systems to support the correct application of technology. Receive and inspect all incoming assets and report discrepancies in IT materials inventory to senior colleagues to ensure materials are effectively tracked. Perform basic beta testing and support the roll out of new versions of centrally supported software to ensure software is operational for WFP staff. Ensure information is up to date and accurate within inventories, databases, websites, and archives in order to support senior officers in managing these systems. With direction from senior colleagues, collate information to be included in standard material such as training documentation and web content, to contribute to the availability of information about services and products. Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met. Perform other related duties, as required.
