Team Leader - Freezer Warehouse

To perform all duties as assigned by Leader- Warehouse within Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and government standards.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Perform visual inspection of facility on daily basis 
• Assign tasks to Freezer Workers daily 
• Provide direct supervision and motivation to team members 
• Ensuring safe work conditions for team members 
• Improving team member performance and development through coaching 
• Train team members on job procedures upon hiring and annually 
• Promote and adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HAACP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives 
• Work with other Team Leaders on continuous improvement projects 
• Interface with support departments 
• Inventory control and reconciliation 
• Performs Shift Huddles and communicates any needs or changes on the horizon 
• Must be able to cover all shifts to cover PTO or other absences of other TL’s or TM’s if needed 
• Discuss and train for Proper Radio etiquette in roles that require radio communication 
• Troubleshoots problems that arise in the receiving process from Production to Distribution as well as Vendor to Distribution 
• Exhibits and Promotes teamwork and willingness to help others 
• Complies with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures 
• Works within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards 
• As need dictates, both assigned shift, work location, and work schedule may be changed by management with or without prior notice 
• May have to work weekends and holidays. 

Required Experience 

• Minimum of high school diploma  
• Additional training in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program is preferred 
• Must be a Certified Forklift Operator 
• Is consistent with quality work performance 
• Proficient in MS Office 
• Ability to solve problems using math, data, and troubleshooting skills 
• Must be able to understand and follow directions 
• Must have verbal and interpersonal skills 
• Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

• Vision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception). 
• Sense of Sound (Fire Alarms, Horns). 
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
• Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts when . 
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold (range from -20F to 100+F; most often 65 – 85F). 
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (Gloves, Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Aprons, Rubber Overalls)
