Position Summary

Responsible for the administration, design, and support of complex IT systems across physical and virtual environments. The role ensures high availability, performance, resilience, and security of critical infrastructure through proactive management, optimization, and continuous improvement of OMT system platforms. Also responsible of advanced technical expertise in troubleshooting, architecture support, and operational excellence, ensuring secure, stable systems aligned with enterprise standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads the administration and support of physical and virtual IT environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilience
• Oversees system monitoring activities, ensuring proactive detection, analysis, and resolution of performance and availability issues
• Designs, implements, and maintains backup, restores, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity
• Manages and optimizes replication and high availability configurations across critical systems
• Plans and executes complex system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime and risk
• Manages and administers Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including user, group, and policy structures
• Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots DNS infrastructure to ensure reliable name resolution across environments
• Designs, implements, and enforces Group Policies (GPOs) for security hardening, access control, and standard configuration baselines
• Manages cloud tenant environments, including identity, access management, configuration, and service administration (e.g., Microsoft 365 / Azure AD or equivalent)
• Monitors and secures domain and identities services to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security policies
• Supports troubleshooting of authentication, authorization, and directory-related issues across systems and platforms
• Performs advanced impact analysis for changes and ensures proper validation and testing before production deployment
• Ensures system security through hardening, configuration management, and adherence to security standards and policies
• Leads incident, problem, and root cause analysis activities, ensuring long-term corrective actions
• Maintains and enforces comprehensive system documentation, including architecture, procedures, runbooks, and configurations
• Ensures operational activities, changes, and incidents are fully documented and traceable for audit and compliance purposes
• Collaborates with infrastructure, network, database, and security teams for end-to-end system reliability and integration
• Proposes and drives improvements in performance, automation, monitoring, resilience, and security of IT systems

Process Improvement
• Analyses the current processes to identify any areas of improvements and proactively seek solutions and recommendations across the division
• Handles the process design, evaluation and implementation in functional areas
• Collaborates and trains colleagues on new processes, procedures and systems all while sharing ideas and supporting projects

Analysis & Reporting
• Performs quantitative analysis through Identifying, analysing, and interpreting data
• Submits monthly & yearly reports and measures performance and results

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with extensive experience in system administration, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise IT operations.

Technical Skills:
• Advanced experience with physical and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms)
• Strong expertise in system monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
• Deep knowledge of backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity design and implementation
• Solid experience in replication technologies and high availability architectures
• Proven experience in complex system upgrades, migrations, and patch management in enterprise environments
• Strong administration skills in Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Advanced understanding of security principles, system hardening, and access control mechanisms
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization skills
• Experience in designing and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and operational standards
• Good understanding of networking, storage, and system integration in enterprise architectures
