Responsibilities• Assist chefs in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and cooking dishes
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
• Support the kitchen team in achieving efficient service standards, including expediting food, plating dishes, and maintaining a clean workspace
• Collaborate with chefs to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared to meet customer expectations
• Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, providing excellent customer service and supporting colleagues in a team environment Requirements• Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or catering setting
• Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge, with a willingness to learn and adhere to industry standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a hot kitchen environment
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent, with a willingness to learn and develop skills in a kitchen environment
