Job Summary
The Business Director – Nigeria will lead the Company's market entry, growth, and commercial expansion, driving revenue, strategic partnerships, and client acquisition. The role is responsible for positioning the Company as a leading digital media and technology partner in Nigeria.
This position combines commercial leadership, market development, and team building, with strong alignment to regional and group strategy.
Key Responsibilities1. Market Leadership & Growth
Lead and execute the Company's go-to-market strategy in Nigeria
Identify and develop revenue opportunities across:
Enterprise brands
Government and semi-government entities
Media agencies and holding groups
Position the Company as a trusted local partner for global platforms (Google, Snap, TikTok, etc.)
Full ownership of Nigeria P&L
Deliver annual revenue, margin, and growth targets
Accurately forecast pipeline, revenue, and cash flow
Optimize pricing models, deal structures, and commercial terms
Build and manage senior relationships with:
Leading advertisers and CMOs
Media agencies
Telecom, banking, fintech, and FMCG leaders
Act as the Company's local representative with:
Platform partners
Industry bodies
Key ecosystem stakeholders
Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performance sales organization
Define sales targets, commission structures, and KPIs
Coach teams on consultative selling and platform-driven solutions
Drive cross-selling across all Company platforms and services
Work closely with regional and centralized teams, including:
Ad Operations
Finance
Legal and Compliance
Ensure full compliance with:
Local regulations
Contracting, invoicing, and VAT requirements
Maintain strong reporting, governance, and control standards
Represent the Company at:
Industry events
Conferences
Client roundtables
Support PR, marketing, and brand-building initiatives
Position the Company as a leader in digital, AI, and performance media
Year-on-year revenue growth
Gross margin and profitability
New client acquisition
Enterprise and government deals closed
Sales team performance and retention
Market share and brand visibility
Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in digital media, advertising, or technology sales
Proven leadership experience in Nigeria or West Africa is an advantage
Strong background in:
Digital platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, Snap, Programmatic)
Enterprise and agency sales
Demonstrated experience in managing P&L and scaling markets
Strong commercial, negotiation, and closing skills
Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Deep understanding of the Nigerian media and advertising ecosystem
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Fluent in English
