About the Role

  • Design and build scalable frontend interfaces and backend services, owning architecture, code quality, and performance standards across the entire stack.

  • Translate product requirements into clear domain models, APIs, and UI components, ensuring robust contracts and maintainable interfaces.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Frontend, Backend, Data, and GTM teams to deliver end-to-end features and impactful improvements.

  • Implement secure, reliable, and performant systems, including encryption, secrets management, auth flows, and region-aware data handling.

  • Optimize performance and costs, profiling bottlenecks, tuning queries, caching, and right-sizing infrastructure and frontend bundles.

  • Manage environments and CI/CD workflows, ensuring parity across dev/staging/production with feature flags, config-as-code, and automated deployments.

  • Maintain high code quality through testing, including unit, integration, E2E, and contract tests for both frontend and backend layers.

  • Lead incident response and postmortems, driving root-cause analysis, mitigation, and long-term hardening of systems.

  • Document architecture, SOPs, runbooks, and decisions, ensuring maintainability and smooth handover across the engineering team.

  • Mentor and support engineering teams, performing design reviews, code reviews, and providing guidance on patterns, scalability, and tradeoffs.
