We are seeking an experienced Conservation Scientist to join our customer's global team. This role uniquely blends natural resource management expertise with artificial intelligence training and validation, ensuring AI-driven solutions align with real-world conservation practices. You will play a critical role in enabling technology that supports sustainable land management, soil and water conservation, and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with AI developers and data science teams to train, refine, and validate AI models using real-world conservation scenarios.
Apply principles of conservation science, agronomy, soil science, forestry, and agriculture to guide AI-powered environmental solutions.
Design, review, and validate training datasets and reference materials related to soil and water management, erosion control, and sustainable land use.
Advise technical teams on conservation planning, land management challenges, and sustainable practices based on field and scientific expertise.
Evaluate AI outputs to ensure alignment with environmental standards, conservation best practices, and regulatory considerations.
Develop actionable recommendations for AI-driven conservation strategies, including crop rotation, reforestation, nutrient management, and rangeland protection.
Communicate complex environmental and scientific concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders through written documentation and discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Conservation Scientist, Resource Conservationist, Soil Conservationist, or related role.
Strong background in natural resource management, including soil, water, land, or ecosystem conservation.
Hands-on experience with sustainable land management practices, such as erosion control, contour farming, terracing, and conservation planning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate environmental science into practical guidance.
Experience advising farmers, ranchers, land managers, or environmental stakeholders on sustainable practices.
Ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams, providing subject-matter expertise to AI and technical teams.
High attention to detail in reviewing, curating, and validating scientific datasets and training materials.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting AI or machine learning initiatives in an advisory, training, or validation capacity.
Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Forestry, Agronomy, or a related discipline.
Prior involvement in developing or implementing conservation or land management plans in collaboration with technical or analytical teams.
