Indira is a two-hundred-year-old house, located in a peaceful village in the Lebanese mountains perched over the Mediterranean Sea, that merges traditional Lebanese architecture with accents from the Far East.
Our culinary selections feature a delightful blend of Lebanese, Levantine, Asian, and international cuisines, presented in the form of set menus or as part of our buffet service. Chef Charbel, our accomplished resident chef ensures that every recipe artfully combines fresh, high-quality ingredients to create an enticing palette of flavors.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Kfour, Lebanon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Manage and coordinate activities in a designated section of the kitchen
- Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning and development
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies for your station
- Contribute creative ideas for new dishes and menu improvements
- Maintain consistent food quality and portion sizes
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role
- Expertise in various culinary techniques, with a focus on Lebanese and International cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and principles
- Leadership and team management skills
- Creative approach to cooking with a keen eye for presentation
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Experience in menu planning and cost control
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on culinary trends
