Job Description

As a Lead Design Architect at SOMA, you will play a pivotal role in the design process of our projects. You will lead a team of skilled architects and designers, driving creative excellence and ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile projects and clients. Your innovative thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills will be instrumental in defining and executing our design vision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership:

 - Conceptualize and develop innovative architectural designs that align with client requirements and project objectives.

 - Lead and inspire a team of architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

- Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into compelling design solutions.

2. Technical Expertise:

 - Stay aware of industry trends, materials, and construction techniques, integrating sustainable practices into design solutions.

 - Resolve complex design challenges by leveraging your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

 - Conduct thorough research to support design decisions and present findings effectively.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

 - Collaborate effectively with international colleagues and international clients and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.

 - Communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively to clients and internal teams, utilizing various mediums such as presentations, sketches, and 3D visualizations.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

- Around 7 years of experience in relevant architectural design, working on large scale projects in GCC region.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a critical requirement.

- Proficiency in Lumion, 3DS Max or Rhino is highly preferred.

- Proficiency in Adobe suite and Microsoft Office.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a creative team.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual, with a keen eye for detail.

- A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects, highlighting your designs.

- International experience is highly preferred (professional or education).
