Engineering Storekeeper

Description Engineering Storekeepers is responsible to receive, store and issue supplies and equipment, compile records of supply transactions and verify that supplies received are listed on requisitions and invoices.

Key Responsibilities Main Responsibilities:
  • Record accurately deliveries and departmental issues in the stock ledgers and balance daily to the standard required.
  • Match goods received with delivery notes from suppliers.
  • Receive goods from suppliers.
  • Ensure that all goods are immediately dispatched to store for which they are intended and that no goods are left unsecured or unsupervised on the receiving area.
  • To arrange purchase requests to be sent to the purchasing department for "below minimum" items in time to ensure proper lead-time for purchasing.
  • Distribute goods to the Engineering Department employees against stores request.
  • To be responsible for the cleaning and hygiene schedule for all the main store areas.
  • Responsible for reviewing and recording any goods issued after hours.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all storerooms are locked, supervised, organized, and clean at all times.
  • Responsible for performing any additional duties assigned by Management and assisting in other areas of Purchasing as needed.
  • Responsible for communicating with supervisor on any discrepancies or other potential problems.
Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Nationality : Lebanese
Education: High School/ College or equivalant
Experience:
1-3 years in Engineering Storekeeper position preferably in Luxury 5* chains.

  • An ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients/vendors

Technical Competencies:
  • Ability to operate computer and mechanical equipment
