Cashier - Telephone Order Taker

At The Green Mill, we are passionate about crafting authentic, long-fermented sourdough bread and delicious pizzas. We believe in the power of real food, made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. We're looking for a friendly and energetic individual to be the welcoming voice and face of our beloved establishment.

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our front-of-house team. In this dual-role position, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, both in-person and over the phone. You will be responsible for processing transactions, managing take-out and phone orders, and ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience that makes them eager to return.

• Must Haves:
  • Previous experience in a customer service, cashier, or food service role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a clear, pleasant phone voice.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine enjoyment of working with people.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with a POS system.
  • A passion for food, especially artisan bread and pizza.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., cases of to-go boxes, bags of retail flour).
• Ability to bend, reach, and stoop to access low shelves or storage.
