Description The overall scope of a Hotel Training is to ensure that the hotel is using the "off-line" as well as "on-line" learning tools provided by Kempinski to ensure as a company we are developing and growing talent within the orgainisation thus securing the hotels ability to deliver exceptional guest service and drive the profitability of the hotel for the owner. The overall scope of a Hotel Training Coordinator is to support the Training Manager to deliver the above mission statement while preparing and developing themselves for a future training leadership or operational role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Training Manager in establishing a training network according to Kempinski standard.
- Support the Training Manager in ensuring that every department having corporately developed Training BITES have fully implemented these, and ensured they reflect all hotel specific policies and procedureS
- Implement training marketing strategy as defined by the Training Manager
- Support Kempinski DNA and brand immersion activities.
- Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of the training services offered.
- Complete Kempinski Experience Assessment (KEA) Checks as specified by the hotel management
- Identify potential training talent and propose & foster Master Trainer candidates.
- Support the Training Manager in ensuring that the Kempinski Training Monthly report is correctly completed on a monthly basis and the results updated in the Regional Training Consolidation Report
- Lead by example and promote Kempinski's core values.
- Support the completion of the Training Self Audit (using the Kempinski Training Peer & Self Audit Tool).
- Promote and implement Kempinski Corporate Training policies and procedures.
- Understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established in the employee handbook and to the hotel's policies on fire, hygiene, health & safety.
- Managed the full recruitment pipeline, ensuring all 300+ annual applicants received a personalized response and timely acknowledgment within a 48-hour SLA.
- Coordinated the interview scheduling process for all departments, acting as the primary liaison between candidates and Heads of Department (HODs).
- Maintained the corporate recruitment website (Kempinski), consistently posting all new vacancies and ensuring the hotel's career page remained current and visually appealing.
- Streamlined the internal CV distribution process, ensuring HODs received candidate profiles and provided feedback within the target timeframe.
- Spearheaded the new-joiner onboarding process, personally welcoming all new hires and ensuring 100% of required paperwork was completed accurately and efficiently prior to the start date.
- Ensured data integrity across the HRIS/payroll system and physical documentation, maintaining complete employee files and accurately tracking vacation, sick leave, and internal training (TTTTs).
- Executed the employee recognition program, tracking anniversaries and coordinating the personalized handover of gifts and cards by management (HOD/GM).
- Enhanced internal communications by maintaining attractive and up-to-date employee communication boards.
- Cultivated a positive and welcoming HR environment, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries while overseeing the condition of employee facilities (cafeteria, locker rooms).
