Job Summary:
The Assistant Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling materials and products for EDL company. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper storage conditions, and timely availability of items to support purchasing and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Organize and store items efficiently according to company standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements.
Issue materials as per approved requests and maintain proper documentation.
Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies or damages.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper storage conditions in the warehouse.
Coordinate with the purchasing and finance teams regarding stock levels and reordering needs.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Assistant Storekeeper or in warehouse/inventory control.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and documentation.
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
Basic computer skills (Excel or inventory systems preferred).
