Job DescriptionJob Summary:
We are hiring a Project Engineer with a civil engineering background and solid contracting experience. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong focus on finishing works and on-site execution. Experience working on projects in Africa is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring project execution aligns with design specifications, timelines, and budget.
Monitor progress and quality of finishing works including plastering, painting, flooring, ceiling, and interior fit-outs.
Collaborate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical and operational issues.
Ensure compliance with local construction regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs for accuracy and feasibility.
Support procurement and material planning for finishing works.
Attend site meetings and provide input on project planning and sequencing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a contracting company, with hands-on involvement in site execution.
- Proven track record in finishing works on mid to large-scale construction projects.
- Previous experience in Ghana or other African countries is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
