The maintenance electrician is responsible of the repair and fixing activities of the electric distribution network.
He/she shall ensure proper full compliance with plans and programs of planned and unplanned network shutdowns.
1. Duties & Responsibilities
Perform network maintenance activities according to the followings:
Ø Follow time shifts and respect maintenance head orders
Ø Receive work orders from the head of unit through the enterprise workflow management systems
Ø Estimate time needed to reach the identified location, and estimate required materials
Ø Ensure all required tools and materials are available and kept in good conditions
Ø Coordinate with the head of unit to perform network switching activities as and when is required for the maneuvering process
Ø Attend, inspect, diagnose and repair network faults
Ø Perform switching operations, installation and dismantling of equipment such as underground cables, overhead lines, poles, transformers, breakers, etc.
Ø Test and commission network components
Ø Ensure safety rules and procedures are well implemented
Ø Ensure accurate feedback report are timely submitted using handheld units or other similar devices
Ø Perform network checking activities and follow schedules of preventive maintenance, and recommend rectifications as and when is required
Requirements
TS electrical
Good trouble shooting skills
Ability to work under bad weather conditions.
Ability to work under pressure.
