Founded in 1986, Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur has grown to become the largest professional advisory firm headquartered in the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. The Role

We're looking for a talented and motivated Tax Staff to join a fast-growing, innovative professional advisory firm working with individuals and closely held businesses.  TSS serves clients in the automotive retail, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and other for-profit industries. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial CPA with a team mentality and a desire to develop technical accounting and tax knowledge in an environment that emphasizes career development. You will primarily be responsible for preparing individual and business (flow-through) tax returns and coordinating directly with client support staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns at varying levels of complexity
• Review tax information supplied by the client and obtained open items if necessary
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with your Pod, Seniors, Supervisors, Managers and Partner on work status and client issues that arise.
• Ensure deliverable deadlines are met
• Research new tax trends and regulations

Requirements

• 1-2 years with a public accounting firm preparing individual and business income tax returns
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment

Preferences

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax, CCH Pfx Engagement, and QuickBooks
• Seeking or obtained EA or CPA certification
