Role Description
This is a FULL-TIME remote (or hybrid) role for an NLP Engineer Summer Intern at Aralects (3 months, extendable), and will give the person the opportunity to be work alongside field experts, add interesting work experience to their CV, and be part of an amazing team that is committed to creating a killer product
We are seeking highly motivated people with the desire to expand their skillsets in any of the following topics: NLP, Deep Learning, LLM fine-tuning, RAG, speech processing, and prompt engineering.
Possible Responsibilities
- Develop processing tools for Arabic dialects (morphological analyzers/generators, alignment, automatic annotation, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, etc.)
- Conduct experiments related to fine-tuning LLMs for educational applications.
- Conduct some research to determine best practices and be aware of the state-of-the-art.
- Work with the software development team to integrate that code into the Aralects codebase.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience of Python programming experience
- 1+ years of experience of PyTorch experience (projects, etc.)
- Preferably 1+ years of experience of Arabic NLP experience.
- Has some research experience (familiarity with deep learning and/or Arabic NLP research).
- Is currently working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field.

As this is an internship position at an early-stage startup, the compensation offered will be modest and primarily intended to cover basic expenses.
