Your Team and Context:
You'll be part of one dynamic global team (currently fifteen employees in total) and collaborate closely with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

As a Legal Counsel, you will take part in the department's activities while ensuring adherence to a globally consistent policy set with Senior Management, established centrally, leading to a need for consultation within the department and with management when deviations are proposed.

The EMEA Team consists of one (1) in house counsel and four (4) paralegals and the EMEA General Counsel
 

Your Responsbilities:
  • Provide legal support in coordination with and under the supervision of the General Counsel (with the view of gaining capacity to work more independently) and assist the sales team in relation to:

(i) pre-sales contracts/processes: draft and negotiate NDAs, review RFI/RFPs (i.e. prepare internal guidelines and responses in line with the RFP requirements and applicable policies); and

(ii) Prepare draft letters on different statements and review Statement of Works; and

(iii) Become familiar with the software license and services agreements in order to gain more autonomy on these in the coming years.

  • Provide day-to-day assistance to the sales team in relation to contract management, compliance requests made by clients and other BAU matters.

  • Provide legal issues related to suppliers of professional and other services, including drafting, review and negotiation of confidentiality agreements, services agreements, SOWs and related terms and conditions and assistance with related processes including RFPs.

  • Draft and negotiate partnership contracts with Murex's Alliance Management team, together with consultancy and training agreements with Murex suppliers.

  • Assist in a range of corporate matters and the negotiation of procurement contracts, including inbound licenses and connectivity agreements for the Murex group.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Law

  • Less than 3 years of experience

  • Good knowledge of contract and commercial law (IP/IT law would be a plus).

  • Familiarity with software license agreements and IT service agreements would be a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Teamwork and cross group collaboration

  • Ability to work under pressure in a continuously evolving environment

  • Excellent command of English, French is a plus
