Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure seamless data flow and enable data-driven decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of data engineering best practices, cloud-based data architectures, and a passion for building robust and efficient data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.

  • Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest, transform, and store structured and unstructured data.

  • Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support analytics and reporting.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and implement data solutions.

  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.

  • Work with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to manage large-scale data storage and processing.

  • Automate data workflows and improve data engineering processes for efficiency and scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Expertise in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud data services (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).

  • Knowledge of ETL frameworks, data integration tools, and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.).

  • Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.

  • Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps.

  • Background in financial, healthcare, or e-commerce data ecosystems.
