Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure seamless data flow and enable data-driven decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of data engineering best practices, cloud-based data architectures, and a passion for building robust and efficient data pipelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest, transform, and store structured and unstructured data.
Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support analytics and reporting.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and implement data solutions.
Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.
Work with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to manage large-scale data storage and processing.
Automate data workflows and improve data engineering processes for efficiency and scalability.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
Expertise in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
Hands-on experience with cloud data services (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).
Knowledge of ETL frameworks, data integration tools, and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.).
Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.
Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps.
Background in financial, healthcare, or e-commerce data ecosystems.
