We are seeking a qualified and experienced radiology technician to join our healthcare team in Nigeria. As a radiology technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other medical imaging technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning them correctly and explaining the procedure to them.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast agents to patients when necessary to enhance the visibility of certain structures or tissues during imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Evaluate diagnostic images to ensure they meet quality standards and are suitable for diagnosis.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including imaging procedures and results.
- Assist radiologists and other healthcare professionals in the interpretation of diagnostic images and the development of treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certification or licensure in radiologic technology.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Familiarity with imaging equipment and technology.
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
