Senior External Auditor

ALFA is hiring a Senior Auditor to oversee and execute thorough financial audits to ensure regulatory compliance and improve internal controls. Responsibilities:
Lead the audit from planning to completion.
Perform external audits of financial statements for private companies.
Lead field engagement teams and act as a coach and mentor to junior staff.
Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.
Test internal controls and assess their effectiveness.
Perform financial and systems analysis to support audit conclusions.
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
Review the work of junior staff and ensure quality standards are met.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to research issues, present alternatives, and provide clear conclusions to clients or managers.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4–5 years of experience specifically in external audit.
Knowledge of business trends and emerging technical and industry developments.
Experience with Canadian financial standards (ASPE, IFRS) is a strong asset.
Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand the client's business and maintain strong relationships.
Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and French.
