PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for tracking the progress and assessing the impact of LPDC's projects and initiatives.

The role is essential to ensuring accountability, learning, and continuous improvement across LPDC's work.

The M&E officer will also support the development of project proposals and donor reporting by establishing clear indicators and evaluation frameworks aligned with LPDC's strategic goals and donor requirements.

What you'll be doing

Design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to assess the performance and impact of LPDC's projects.

Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and results frameworks for ongoing and future initiatives.

Collect, analyze, and report data on project activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact.

Prepare regular M&E reports for internal use and donor reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Support the development of project proposals by contributing to logical frameworks, indicators, and evaluation plans.

Ensure that M&E practices are aligned with donor-specific requirements and international standards.

Collaborate with LPDC team to ensure integrated reporting and documentation.

Maintain organized records of M&E tools, data, and reports for audit and learning purposes.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy or Public Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within donor-funded or public sector projects.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Experience in developing indicators and evaluation plans for project proposals.
  • Excellent reporting and writing skills in Arabic and English.
  • Familiarity with donor compliance and reporting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and complex environment.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of French.
  • Knowledge of the Lebanese and Palestinian contexts.
