We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team Under the direction of the Calibration Supervisor, the Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing calibration of geotechnical instruments, including set-up, testing, and analysis of measurement instruments. This role ensures that all instruments operate accurately, reliably, and in compliance with both internal procedures and industry standards.
Requirements
In this role you will:
- Set-up test configurations and record calibration data accurately and efficiently.
- Calibrate and verify geotechnical instruments (pressure, angle, displacement, compression, tension) in accordance with NIST-traceable and ISO-compliant procedures.
- Collect, analyze, and review measurement results and identify deviations or non-conformances.
- Generate and maintain documentation for out-of-tolerance conditions and submit findings for Engineering review and disposition approval.
- Save, print, and scan calibration reports, ensuring proper filing and storage in designated locations.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality management policies.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance.
Your Contributions
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of related technical field experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Excel).
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret data, maintain precise and organized documentation, and complete all required paperwork efficiently and on time.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Organization skills required.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment while effectively multitasking and managing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Must work safely and comply with all requirements of the GEOKON safety manual.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
