Responsibilities:
Create and test well-designed websites.
Create website layout/user interface by using ready Content Management
System (CMS) and other programming languages.
Create and maintain software documentation.
Implement contingency plans in case the website goes down.
Constantly communicate with the team to develop and deploy their content,
ensuring deliverables within a timeframe.
Work with designers, such as graphic designers, to determine the sites layout.
Quality-test and troubleshoot the website and/or its applications in various
browsers.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant
field.
Proven working experience as a Web Developer, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Understanding of MySQL databases
In-depth knowledge of WordPress core functionalities.
Experience in creating custom WordPress themes, and ability to modify
existing themes and templates.
Knowledge of popular plugins and their integration.
Ability to customize and modify existing WordPress functionalities.
Understanding of child themes.
Awareness of WordPress security best practices.
Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and how to address them.
Understanding of SEO principles and their application on WordPress.
Knowledge of SEO plugins and tools.
Skills in optimizing website performance and speed, and familiarity with
caching techniques.
Proficient in testing and debugging techniques, and has awareness of
cross-browser compatibility issues.
